A study looking at infant mortality among American Indians in Minnesota. Focus groups with American Indian mothers, interviews with service providers, and a literature review identified gaps in knowledge and skills of providers and best practices. These results will be used to develop training opportunities to help health care and social service providers better serve American Indian mothers and their children and reduce the incidence of infant mortality.
