How It Works

  1. Our team meets with you to understand your housing goals—number of bedrooms, accessibility needs, and preferred neighborhoods (for example, near your child’s school or workplace).

  2. We connect you with landlords who accept Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8) and use local housing resources like Housing Link to expand your options.

  3. Completing rental paperwork can be overwhelming. We help with document collection, application submissions, and follow-ups to increase your chances of approval.

Supporting Your Housing Search

  • Language assistance for non-English speakers.
  • Flexible meeting options—evenings, weekends, and virtual appointments available.
  • Transportation assistance (bus cards, Uber/Lyft rides) for housing searches.
  • Support for disabilities, including accessible meeting locations.
  • Help with forms and paperwork, including reading applications aloud and assisting with written responses.

After You Move In: Post-Lease Support

Wilder doesn’t just help you find housing—we also provide ongoing renter support services to help you stay housed.

  • Understanding your lease: We review lease terms with you to ensure you know your rights and responsibilities.
  • Landlord-tenant mediation: If issues arise, we help resolve conflicts to prevent eviction.
  • Emergency financial support: If you’re at risk of losing your home, we connect you with rental assistance and eviction prevention programs.
  • One-year housing stability check-ins: Our team provides ongoing support to ensure you maintain stable housing.
