During the Conference, participants will learn to how to:

  • Understand the importance of a developmental lens when working with transgender and gender diverse (TGD) children, adolescents and adults.
  • Discern the current scholarship, dilemmas and considerations in clinical mental health practice with transgender and gender diverse (TGD) children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Apply the core therapeutic components of the Gender Affirmative Lifespan Approach to clinical work with transgender and gender diverse (TGD) children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Recognize the complicated political climate in the United States with regard to anti-trans legislation and its impact on transgender and gender diverse people as well as those who provide gender health care.
