Work at the Therapeutic Teaching Model

A collaborative approach to education and healing for young children in need of intensive and integrated intervention

Body

What is the Therapeutic Teaching Model?

The Therapeutic Teaching Model is an intensive mental health intervention for children in grades K-3 who are receiving federal setting IV special education services through Intermediate School District 287.

Students in this program receive individual therapy, family therapy and milieu classroom therapy during their school days. We team with special education teachers and education support professionals to reach school goals and mental health treatment goals together. Our approach is innovative, effective, and honors family and culture.

Work at the Therapeutic Teaching Model

We have an opening for a full-time individual/family therapist position within the Therapeutic Teaching Model. Our therapists provide individual and family mental health treatment in school, home and virtual settings, as well as influence treatment goals and methods of the classroom therapeutic model through consultation. As a TTM therapist, you will join a team that supports innovation, high quality care, and the well-being of our clients as well as one another.

We are looking for someone with professional mental health experience (LICSW, LMFT or LPCC) working with children and their families. A master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology or clinical counseling is preferred, but practitioners are encouraged to apply.

If you are drawn to this role and the work we are doing in mental health, but your past professional experiences do not perfectly align, please apply. We would love to meet you.

Wilder was one of the first organizations in the state of Minnesota to provide children's mental health care and we continue that care today. See all the way we support mental health and wellness for people and families
