Title

Cookie Cart: An Evaluation of A Youth Work Experience and Empowerment Program in 2014, Summary

Description
Cookie Cart is a nonprofit employment program that offers young people ages 15 through 18 an opportunity to build life, interpersonal, leadership, and transferable job skills through training and employment at a commercial bakery with a retail store. The program provides a first paid job experience for participants and helps them develop the skills necessary to transition to traditional employment. In order to assess the effectiveness of the Cookie Cart strategy in helping youth gain employment skills, Cookie Cart contracted with Wilder Research to design an evaluation of the program. This is a summary of the full evaluation report.
