Every three years, Wilder Research conducts a statewide study to better understand the prevalence, causes, circumstances, and effects of homelessness. The study includes face-to-face interviews with people throughout the state who meet the federal definition of homelessness, as well as a count of people who were homeless on a single night in late October. The most recent study was conducted on October 22, 2015. This fact sheet highlights findings from interviews with people experiencing homelessness in Hennepin County.

Homelessness in Minnesota 2015 Study

Every three years, Wilder Research conducts a statewide survey of people who are homeless or living in temporary housing programs. The study includes counts and estimates of the number of people who are homeless and face-to-face interviews with homeless people throughout Minnesota to better understand the causes and circumstances of homelessness. 2015 homeless study results are also available on the Minnesota Homeless Study website.
